Rotary
Club of Royston
President: Phillip Martin

Organiser Tony Briar

The   club   runs   an   annual   quiz   as   a   modest   fund   raiser   and   most   Rotarians   take   part   in   one   form   or   another.     The   quiz   is   advertised   to
the   local   community   and   we   hope   to   get   between   ten   and   twenty   teams   of   up   to   eight   persons.     A   bar   is   provided   and   also   a
something to eat halfway through.
Our   resident   quiz   master   will   pose   ten   questions   per   round   where   each   of   the   rounds   is   on   a   particular   subject.   e.g.   music,   science,
sport etc. There are ten rounds so that is a total of one hundred questions the teams have to answer.
There is also a raffle during the meal break where ticket holders can win modest prizes.
In 2024 the quiz is being held at on Jan 13th at King James Academy (Junior School), Garden Walk, Royston - most locals will recognise this as the Greneway School site (recently renamed). It is being held at 7pm for 7.30pm start. The cost is expected to be £10 per person which will include a ploughman’s supper. There will be a licensed bar serving wines and beers as well as various soft drinks. Credit cards are preferred for all purchases
